Adult Education in Laholm

The adult education in Laholm is part of the education administration, and we conduct courses at basic and upper secondary levels, within adult education as adapted education and in Swedish for immigrants, as well as vocational training and apprenticeship programs at upper secondary level. We work a lot with an entrepreneurial approach and that employees should be involved in driving the development and design of our vocational training forward.

We have a close collaboration with the upper secondary school, study and career counselors, and administration where we help each other in daily work.

About the Position

You will teach subjects within the Health and Care Program in adult education and be responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of the education, including practical training and validation.

The teaching is based on the various experiences, life situations, and conditions of adult students, and is adapted to create good opportunities for learning and professional development. The assignment includes assessment and documentation of students' knowledge according to applicable governing documents.

You will work in a team with two other vocational teachers in health and care, where you collectively plan, develop, and ensure the quality of the education. The work is carried out in close collaboration with study and career counselors, administrators, school management, as well as the municipality's and region's operations.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are primarily looking for someone who has a vocational teacher's degree and qualification to teach in the Health and Care Program, or equivalent education combined with pedagogical experience.

Having several years of background as a nursing assistant or nurse is a requirement for the position.

It is an advantage if you have training as a CPR instructor, experience in validation, as well as adult pedagogical competence and a good understanding of the mission of adult education. If you have worked as an education leader coordinating educational efforts, that is a merit. Experience in leadership or another form of management is also seen as an asset.

A driver's license is a requirement for the position, and you should be comfortable working in digital environments and learning platforms.
